Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson - born Jacqueline Luesby to Chris Watson and Jacqueline Luesby, two British lawyers, was born on August 8, 1989, in Paris. When she was a kid she was enrolled in her school, the Dragon School in Oxfordshire. From the age of six Emma was aware she would like to be an actor and for several years, she was a student at the Oxford Branch of Stagecoach Theatre Arts a part-time theater school, where she learned singing dancing and acting. Her performances had been in numerous Stagecoach and school productions before she was ten years old. In 1999 casting began to cast Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2001) the movie adaptation of British writer J.K. Rowling's bestselling novel. Casting agents found Emma by way of her Oxford theatre instructor. David Heyman informed Emma, Daniel Radcliffe, and Rupert Grint following auditions for 8 times. They were cast as three leads Hermione Gringer Harry Potter Ron Weasley. The release of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2001) was Emma's cinematic screen debut. This film was 2001's highest earning film, smashing records at the opening and the very first weekend. Critics were impressed with the performance of the film as well as its story. The Daily Telegraph praised Emma for her performance. Emma received five awards to honor her role in the movie.
