John Denver, a singer-songwriter who hails from Colorado who specialized in folk pop music has touched the hearts of millions. He was born Henry John Deutschendorf Jr. in Roswell New Mexico he fell in love with Colorado and later settled in Aspen. Denver's state anthems are a source of inspiration for many to visit Colorado. G. Brown of the Colorado Music Hall of Fame declares it is true that John Denver is unlike any other artist who embodies Colorado. Denver became the one of the first Hall of Fame inductee in 2011. Denver has been the symbol of Colorado for people all over. While traveling, I will meet people on opposite sides of the globe. For example an individual who is from New Zealand. And when someone asks you if you're from Colorado the response is "Oh John Denver!" Brown declared. Take Me Home Country Roads written by co-writer Bill Danoff - was Denver's first Top 10 single as a solo singer after a brief stint in small folk bands. Danoff originally wrote it using Johnny Cash's songs in mind, but Denver realized from the first time he heard first versions of the song that it could be a huge success. The track was released just a few weeks after it was performed in Washington D.C. performance.
